How tall a window is (docs/size-classes.md). Consulted far less than WidthClass: it is what tells a phone in landscape (wide enough for two panes, too short for a tall list) that it should not grow vertical chrome.

Variants

Compact

< 480dp: a phone in landscape.

Medium

480–899dp: a phone in portrait, a tablet in landscape.

Expanded

≥ 900dp: a tablet in portrait, most desktop windows.
