What a secondary window IS, so backends can apply platform conventions (docs/windows.md).

Variants§

§

Normal

A regular document/tool window: resizable, miniaturizable, platform-default tabbing.

§

Preferences

A settings/preferences window: singleton by convention; macOS disallows window tabbing and drops the resize/minimize chrome, mobile presents it modally. Pairs with day-core’s key-singleton reopen (open_window with a key).
