Whether the compiled backend edits styled text natively.

Support::Native on all eight toolkits; every one ships a rich-text view (docs/texteditor.md). Support::Emulated only on the headless mock and on an external toolkit with no arm, where the piece degrades to plain text: the characters round-trip and the styling does not.
