pub enum PickerIdiom {
Automatic,
Native,
Composed,
}Expand description
Which chooser a ColorPicker opens.
Variants§
Automatic
The platform’s own chooser where the toolkit has one; Day’s composed panel where it does not (android-mdc and harmony-arkui). The default, and what an app wants unless it has a reason to pin the answer.
Native
The platform’s own chooser, on the nose: this realizes the native leaf whatever the
backend is, so on a toolkit with no renderer for it the app gets Day’s visible
⟨day.piece.colorpicker⟩ placeholder, the same answer any unrendered kind gives, and a
gap a screenshot can see. Pin this only behind a support check; if you want “native
where there is one”, that is Automatic.
Composed
Day’s composed panel, on every target. Ask for this when one identical color experience matters more than platform chrome: a design tool, a themed app, a branded editor.
