ToolbarPlacement

Enum ToolbarPlacement

Source
pub enum ToolbarPlacement {
    Automatic,
    Navigation,
    Principal,
    Primary,
    Secondary,
    Bottom,
}
Expand description

Where an item sits on the chrome that carries it (docs/toolbars.md).

A placement is a role, never a surface. Which toolbar, navigation bar or column an item rides follows from the piece that declared it, so an app never spells that out twice.

Variants§

§

Automatic

The natural spot on this chrome: after the leading group on a desktop toolbar, the trailing item group on a navigation bar, an IF_ROOM menu action on Android.

§

Navigation

The leading edge: a pane toggle, a control that reveals what is to its left.

§

Principal

Centered: a title accessory, a transport, a status readout.

§

Primary

Trailing, and the last thing a crowded chrome gives up.

§

Secondary

Trailing, and the first thing a crowded chrome folds into its overflow.

§

Bottom

A bottom bar where the platform has one (iOS toolbarItems, an Android bottom app bar); ToolbarPlacement::Secondary everywhere else.
