Variants

Fill

Scale to fill the frame, preserving aspect ratio and cropping the overflow (the default — what avatars want). SwiftUI’s .scaledToFill.

Fit

Scale to fit entirely inside the frame, preserving aspect ratio; the placeholder color shows in the letterboxed margins. SwiftUI’s .scaledToFit.
